Indian Trail's Fall Shred Day is on Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Town Hall. The event is FREE for residents. Limit 5 boxes per household. For more information, visit the Shred Day page on the Town's website.
Get ready to run, cheer, and celebrate at the 16th Annual Gingersnap 5K on Saturday, November 22, in the heart of historic downtown Waxhaw. This beloved event is the grand finale of our fall program, and it welcomes everyone. It is the perfect chance to gather with friends, family, and neighbors for a day filled with energy, wellness, and community spirit.
Registration for the race is officially open. We also have exciting sponsorship opportunities for those who want to support the event and be part of the fun while gaining visibility in the community.

The Union County Christmas Parade will celebrate its 72nd year on November 23, 2025 at 2 pm. The annual parade winds through the streets of historic Downtown Monroe, NC. School and community groups share holiday spirit with a special appearance by Santa! Join us for the celebration!

Bring the whole family and kick off the season with us in true holiday spirit!
Waxhaw's Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, December 14 at 3 p.m. in downtown Waxhaw.
The parade features local school marching bands, entries and floats by 70 businesses and members of the community and an appearance from a special guest from the North Pole!
Announcers cover the entire parade route to make sure that you hear all of the details about the participants.
Traffic Information/Event Timeline
2:30 p.m.: Parade Route closed to inbound traffic. Outbound traffic may still exit.
2:45 p.m.: Parade Route closed to ALL vehicles.
5:30 p.m.: Parade Route to re-open for vehicles.
