The Union County Community in Motion Walk to End Gun Violence is more than an event—it is a movement of remembrance, resilience, and action. Hosted by M.A.R.C.U.S. (Mothers Advocating for Real Change and Unwavering Support) in partnership with the Union County Sheriff’s Office, this awareness walk brings together families, survivors, and community members to honor lives lost to gun violence.
Each step represents a life.
Each name represents a story.
And every voice matters.
Your generosity is doing more than funding a walk—it is helping us build real pathways for healing, prevention, and change for our youth this summer.
Through your support, M.A.R.C.U.S. will launch and expand critical Summer Youth Programs, including:
? Teen Grief & Healing Circles
? Youth Violence Prevention Workshops
? “Say Their Names. Save the Next.” Teen Advocacy Program
? Life Skills & Mentorship Sessions
? Community in Motion Youth Engagement Days
? Workforce Development Training
? In-Person Work Experience Opportunities
Because of you, we are not just reacting to tragedy—we are working to prevent the next one.

We are proud to organize the first Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk in Union County, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and the City of Monroe.
This premier community event is designed to support caregivers and families navigating Alzheimer’s and dementia by connecting them with valuable local resources, education, and support services.
Free to attend and open to the community
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Meet local organizations that support caregivers
Learn about Dementia care resources available in Union County
Connect with others in the community
While the event is free, we encourage attendees and community partners to consider supporting the cause through a voluntary donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, or by contributing helpful items such as brain activity puzzles and engagement materials for seniors.
These small contributions can make a meaningful difference in supporting individuals living with Dementia and their caregivers.
This event is open to caregivers, families, and community members who want to learn more and support Alzheimer’s awareness.
Let’s come together to raise awareness and support those impacted by Alzheimer’s in our community.
